Ola S1 Electric Scooter With 101km Range Launched in India, Electric Car to Debut in 2024
The Ola S1 was launched on Monday as the company's second electric scooter for the first time in the country. The scooter was first announced by the company last year and is a more affordable version of the Ola S1 Pro. Ola S1 has a battery capacity of 3KWh and a top speed of 95kmph. The company offers an ARAI range of 131km and a normal range of 101km. The electric scooter also comes with software features like music, navigation, a companion app, and a reverse mode, and will support updates to MoveOS 3 - which will be launched in Diwali - and beyond.

In a virtual event on Tuesday, the company also announced that it will launch its first electric car in 2024. Ola says its first electric four-wheeler will go from 0-100 kmph in 4 seconds and have a range of over 500 km. a charge. It is also claimed to provide a drag coefficient of less than 0.21 and will have a glass roof. Ola says the vehicle will support assisted driving and offer keyless and handleless entry.
Ola also announced a new Khaki Green color option for the Ola S1 Pro. The company will manufacture 1,947 units of the limited edition scooter, priced at Rs. 1,49,999. The 'Freedom Edition' Ola S1 Pro will be available for purchase through the Ola app.
Ola S1 Price, Availability in India
The price of Ola S1 in India is set at Rs. 99,999, which is the introductory ex-showroom price, which includes FAME II subsidy and excludes state subsidy, according to the company. It will be available in Coral Glam, Jet Black, Liquid Silver, Neo Mint, and Porcelain White color options.
Reservations for Ola S1 start today at Rs. 499, and users availing of the early access offer will be able to make the final payment on September 1. Meanwhile, Ola S1 will go on sale on September 2, and deliveries will start on September 7. Buyers can also avail themselves of EMI. Offers start from Rs. 2,999, with the loan processing fee waived, according to Ola.

The Ola S1 is the company's second electric two-wheeler to debut in the country and was first announced last year. The Ola S1 comes with front and rear disc brakes and a 'hill hold' feature designed to ease riding and leaning in traffic. It is equipped with 110/70 R12 tires, rear mono-shock suspension, and front single fork suspension.
On the software front, the Ola S1 runs on MoveOS 2, which offers navigation, music playback, a companion app, and reverse mode features. Electric scooters, like the Ola S1 Pro, will get the MoveOS 3 update around Diwali, which, according to the company, will include new features including modes, digital key sharing, proximity unlock, and improved region braking, and Document features.
